While in the sky Frankie heard some beautiful music coming from the forest. He was drawn to the beautiful sound. He flew down to see where the music was coming from. In a berry bush he finally found the source – it was a hummingbird. He was really cute and little. Frankie perched himself on a nearby branch to hear the hummingbird sing. It was like a lullaby. Frankie was so moved by the music that he wanted to join in. “Excuse me, Mr Hummingbird” Frankie interrupted, “Do you mind if I join in your singing? I just love music. Maybe we can do a duet and I will finally fit in!” The hummingbird welcomed him with open arms. “Squak-Squak-Crack-Squack…”, Frankie tried to sing, but it didn’t sound anything like the sweet sound of the hummingbird. He felt terrible. Why couldn’t he sing as nicely as a hummingbird? He tried again, “Squak-Squak-Crack-Squack…”, The hummingbird politely suggested that Frankie try a different activity that was more geared toward a flakefoot. Frankie had had enough!

“Ok”, he thought to himself ,”I’m not pretty like flamingo, I don’t belong in chicken coops, I’m not a trouble maker like the woodpecker, and my voice is nowhere near as nice as a hummingbird! Will I ever find where I belong? Not only do I have ugly flakey feet, but now I found out that my voice stinks too!”

Frankie tried to sing, but it didn’t sound anything like the sweet sound of the hummingbird.

To be continued, G-d willing
