Yes, he said that all types of animal protein were shown to lead to higher rates of chronic disease. Personally, I still eat fish here and there, but I pretty much stay away from red meat. It's hard to digest and full of hormones and antibiotics. It's the least healthy of the three. I don't miss chicken at all, even though I have a bite or two on Shabbat.

Dr. Campbell does not recommend eating animal protein
I have read the entire book and it very comprehensive and has worthwhile information. I have heard Dr Campbell speak in person and he is a vegan and does not recommend animal protein and says to keep it below 10% and especially against dairy, as is very toxic to the body. I am a whole food vegan chef and educator and living this lifestyle for 25 years and loving it! I have a youtube channel with product reviews, recipes and healthy living topics: youtube(dot)com/TheRawsomeVeganGal

SWOT
While I have read and responded to your comment on Lazerbeams, I think it's unfair to say he has an agenda. This gives his work a negative connotation. What exactly is his agenda – trying to make others healthy? Everyone has an agenda for everything they do. Certainly there is room for other opinions regarding his study, and they may have plenty of validity. He's promoting eating mainly fruits and vegetables, and no one can argue with that.

Sorry to be unclear, David. Yes, Dr. Campbell writes that based on the amount of protein we eat, we can make ourselves more or less vulnerable to the effects of toxins. It's not protein by itself that causes sickness. But more importantly, he is stressing that the bulk of our diets should be fruits and veggies. Check out what today's post on diabetes on Lazerbeams.

This article is NOT clear
The article says that protein PLUS the toxin caused sickness, and NOT protein alone. Then the conclusion is that protein causes sickness. So which one is it?

Campbell was a Vegan with an agenda.
Really, people should read counterarguments to research and form their own conclusions. See http://chriskresser.com/rest-in-peace-china-study/ …for example..
