"the answer came to me. You see, I had been extremely judgmental of a certain group of people, simply because I didn't (and still don't) understand their mentality and reasons for doing things. My ego convinced me that I know better, and they're making a terrible mistake. So, Heaven answered me midda keneged midda (a turn for a turn) in the most perfect way. Because I judged others, I opened up my file and created judgment for myself. Not only that, I executed my own judgment against myself."

How do you know for certainty this was the reason? The era of prophecy ended over 2000 years ago. Any Rabbi, or leader that pinpoints a reason, and says this is why a particular incident happened, is either blessed with divine inspiration, or is a liar. (The fact that some Rabbis or great people may be clairvoyant, doesn't pass as divine inspiration) True, when a person is on the receiving end of pain, he or she is obligated to do some soul searching, to try and find the cause of their pain. However to definitively say THIS is the cause, often comes from naivety, arrogance, and/or ignorance. Too many good and well meaning people have been mislead and manipulated by these so called prophets of the Jewish people that when tragedy strikes they seem to have all the answers as to why Hashem brought this on to individuals, or a certain group of people. Let's be truthful and sensitive. Thank You
