That's the point that the article is making! When one/both sides take, there is no marriage. Marriage is about giving, not taking.

Giving is really a sign of maturity. If one is content to sit at home to simply enjoy life…isn't that a form of taking? Hopefully, when dating, one is looking at the other person to see if (s)he's a giver or a taker.

While the theory sounds plausible, I have my own view about the Adam and eve story. Adam was in Paradise before the woman came along and because of her actions, ruined it for both of them. Now that being said. Ever since I've been dating women, married then divorced then dating women again, I came to the conclusion after all the drama, troubles, emergencies and loss of finances that women brought me, now that I've been single for five years and no women in my life, I am much happier, finances are incredible, total peace in my home and absolutely no drama headaches troubles. So, I for one think it was not hashem but the serpent who brought the female to ruin every man on earth. It's a paradox. God could have created more men like he did Adam so why give him a problem. Sorry I've seen friends and many unknown men lose it all and watched as women take half of all men create while contributing nothing.
