what about rabbi nachman? I'm just wondering how you explain Rabbi Nachman's terrible suffering from and dying of tuberculosis….. There are other reasons for illness. Of course, we need to be in touch with our spiritual selves, and to connect to Hashem. But sometimes there are tikkunim that we don't understand. Sick people need our heartfelt compassion, not our judgement, nor our opinion. The stories are inspiring, but they don't give us the right to sigh when we get "yet another" text to pray for "yet another" person.
