thank you for this! I so needed to read this today. My Bais Yaakov girl is tznius but I have noticed a few things lately: hemlines going higher (still by halachah, barely), and the hair in a messy updo that looks goyish (all the rage with some BY girls). I shamed her into making a ponytail, but knew it was not "victory". I need to turn it over to Hashem and daven, while being impeccably tsnius myself.

great article Very smart advice. It is also important that your daughter like the way YOU look, in your modesty. If you go shopping with her for your clothes and get her opinion, you will be a team. I don't buy anything my daughter doesn't like, I want her to be proud of me and to want to emulate my dress code: I know she likes the way I dress, for now, which means she also trusts me to shop for her, even when she's not there! B'Hatzlacha…

Great Advice on Modesty for Our Children I really, really loved this article. It was like I was reading about my own dealings with my daughter and modest dress. It's tough for her sometimes to choose dressing modestly and still feel fashionable. But, I do really try to shower her with compliments when I see her dress modestly and appropriately. Ultimately, just as Ms. Levy said about her daughter, I want my daughter to dress modestly because she wants to, because she knows she's a Daughter of the King and should dress as such. I love Ms. Levy's articles and love Breslov. Thanks for all the inspiration.
