You forget that murder can also be spiritual. A person can spiritually destroy another one's soul, not only their body. In fact, the Torah accuses one who embarrasses another in public as guilty of bloodshed, because he caused the person's face to turn white from embarrassment. How much more so if we cause another person severe trauma. Yes, it is murder in the spiritual sense.

Murder is a strong word There is no doubt that divorce affects children greatly, but to call the father a MURDERER is absolutely uncalled for. A murderer is someone who literally takes someone else's life- kills them. Thankfully, these kids are still alive. He did not do that, nor would he ever. You may be using murderer as a metaphor, but in today's society where, unfortunately, parents killing their kids is an all too common occurrence, you should be careful of the words you choose.
