No copyright on “real” judaism The real problem is not the definition of what is "real" judaism, because judaism is by pluralistic and has allways been so. The real problem is the separation between state and religion, the rule of law, and democracy.

converts Nice article! Just one thing to add. While this may be due to the "rif-raf" we should keep in mind today that converts are not a negative thing. In fact Rebbe Nachman's writings are full of positive statements about converts, and he often talks about some positive action we can do, which because of mystical cause-and-effect processes, bring about more converts and balei teshuvah. Even the Gemara says the main reason for the exile is to gather converts. I was very pleased to see Rav Brody speak out against the Bet Shemesh protesters on his blog. Glad you're also doing so on this site. You're probably very right that the extremists are no closer to Hashem than the secularists. More people need to speak out, and reach out to the secular to let them know we will treat them with love and respect. With all the violence against charedim over the last couple weeks this is very important.
