I grew up completelt non-religious and was living in a non-Jewish neihborhood at the time. It was not ab easy decision to make. I would suggest you meet with a rabbi that specializes in family issues. Together you could come up with a plan to gradually phase out tv. Best of luck!

It’s not that easy to do for people who recently became religious You article makes sense. But I have a point. If we are not frum from birth and don't live in a religious community, it is hard to just get rid of the Tv all together. I have a 13 years old who grew up watching it. If I just get rid of it, she will resent me and might not want to be frum anymore, she already says that it is very hard to be religious, so another step to take something away from her, might pull her away from Yidiskeit. I also grew up with Tv and it is not easy for me.
