After your painful comment, I reread Rabbi Arush’s article. Truthfully, I do not understand why you concluded that Rabbi Arush advises “to just go ‘Ok HaSHEM’ and take whatever comes as she or he fits a minimum standards is preposterous.”
He mentions making due diligence in the article and in Women’s Wisdom (pg 27-8). There is no getting around personal responsibility in choosing one’s mate. You’re right-it is preposterous to just basically pick someone who meets bare minimum requirements, the “pants-skirt” shidduch.
Rabbi Arush’s point is to realize that when you’ve done your due diligence in a very responsible way, rely on Hashem to guide you.

Forgive me G-D. I think this is not the best advice. Shlomo HaMelech gives very clear advice in what we call “Aishit Chayil”. The advice in this article is very unwise. Some people may have success with it by the grace of G-D, but this relying on a miracle, which is inadvisable to do. Do you tell this for people’s parnassa too? Would the Rambam give such counsel? In fact we see there was a test that Rivka had to water the _camels_ too while giving water for Yitzchak. PLEASE use sechel which is God given in your lives. I’m so upset by this advice, I even donate here, but this advise is so not good I’m upset. Learn from Shlomo HaMelech in Mishlei or Proverbs. There is tons of sage counsel there, to just go “Ok HaSHEM” and take whatever comes as she or he fits a minimum standards is preposterous. I believe in _TRUE SOUL MATES_ from GOD. I’ve met people who have seemed to find them and married a long time, they didn’t just through a Hail HaSHEM and take whatever comes. God help us all. Shalom.

I am 27, and have always been anxious about getting married late. From a little child I wanted to be married in my early twenties. Somehow it did not happen to me and that made me a little sad.
I am praying that Hashem sends me a husband.
