The smile says it all. I met Rabbi Arush and asked for a specific bracha for a certain development in my life to be l’shem shamayim…he gave such a broad smile , grabbed my head and gave me a bracha . I felt like I was in the presence of a man so centred in purity , I became a bit centred myself. By the way I am also spanish portuguese sefardi…and many of us learn from Rebbe Nachman too. It’s a state of soul regardless of minhag , saluthes buenos and paramuchos anios !

Thank the Kvod HaRav I thank the kvod harav for sharing this portrait of his life. I have wondered about him learning about him from R’ Brody. As a Spanish sepharadi I have been drawn to Breslov–I think it comports with our own ancient traditions–but have not know whether it was truly acceptable to follow the teachings of Ashkenazi rabbanim, even gedolim shuch as Rav Nachman, ztl. May Hashem comfort the kvod ha rav.
