women Pamela, women can and do go to Uman, it is full of women in the summer time BEFORE rosh hashana. Being in Uman is a beautiful experience and if you can go in a group, there are groups from Israel going frequently. I live in England and I met up with a group twice in Kiev airport and had a wonderful experience and such closeness with them. Prayer is very much a woman’s thing, Rav Arush says women find it easier to talk and to open their hearts and so have a greater responsibility in a way to pray

Women and Uman Debbie, help me to further understand mens/womens places in matters of prayer. If you are a woman, such as myself, who was drawn to the teachings of the Rebbe years ago and can’t understand the distance that such thinking suggests..If I feel the need to be close to the torah during prayer or dream of going to Uman one day..Why should I be told,”No.It’s not really your place. “Please, as another woman who loves the Rebbe, help me to understand this thinking. Shalom. Pamela
