Hashem Saves His Nation

The nations of the world are in crisis and we don’t even know it. Long before our grandparents were born, there was a concept of retirement. You worked until age 65, then the government took financial care of you, leaving you free to do what you want.  

In the late 19th century, when the concept of pension was first instituted, it was a borderline scam. People would pay into the system with the hope of getting their full pension. The trick was staying alive until retirement age. Less than a tenth of people lived long enough to collect their pension.  

When Social Security came out in 1935, the average life expectancy was 60 years for men, 64 for women. The government still made money.  

Today, things are different. The average life expectancy is 77 years. Every citizen can expect to be paid 12 years of Social Security by the government.  The pension system wasn’t designed for such a long life expectancy, nor was it designed to raise pension payments to adjust for inflation.  

In the West, the money that hard-working people have been contributing to Social Security over the past 50 years has already been spent. All that remains is a huge IOU note.  

The Blessing of Israel 

In America, Europe, and Japan, the birth rate is negative. Fewer people are getting married and having children. Consequently, the number of people receiving pension is higher relative to the number of people paying into the pension system.  Want to gamble your future on whether or not Congressmen like Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez will vote to maintain Social Security when you turn 60? 

Israel has the highest birth rate in the developed world. For every pensioner, we have the highest number of people paying into the system and that number is constantly rising. 

Why is that? 

We follow the first commandment Hashem obligates us: Be fruitful and multiply.  

We have another commandment that Hashem obligates us to follow: The commandment of the Brit, which governs our use of the organ associated with being fruitful.  

Sexual morality underwrites a large, happy, and holy family. It is the guarantor of a nation that is continuously expanding in numbers.  

In 1967, there were a million Arabs in central Israel (the “West Bank”) and no Jews. Today there are two million Arabs and 700,000 Jews living in the heart of our nation. The population in central Israel rose from 0% to 35% in half a century.  

The world demands we give up land by using the argument that Arabs are having more children. This is no longer the case. Jewish birth rates in Israel are eclipsing Arab rates, and the difference is expanding.  

Blessing and Prosperity 

How is Israel able to guarantee that its seniors will live their lives with a check coming in every month, whereas such a promise is unsustainable in the West? 

What is Israel doing that America, Europe, and Asia aren’t? 

Israel is the most religious nation in the developed world.  

• We serve Hashem

Families that serve Hashem do everything they can to have as many children as they can raise. This makes for a birth rate that is forever expanding, fulfilling Hashem’s promise to Avraham that we will be as numerous as the stars of the sky and the sands of the earth.  

• We only allow marriage according to Jewish Law 

Same-sex unions are a dagger to the heart of a country: Two productive adults produce zero children. They get old and become dependent on the state to provide them pension and health benefits (which cost more than pension) without raising children who will pay for it. That puts an additional burden on the people who build families.  

By recognizing only Divinely approved families officiated by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel in accordance with Torah law, we guarantee that only those marriages approved by Hashem will be valid in Israel.  

We do it Hashem’s way, and Baruch Hashem, He rewards us with expansion, stability, prosperity, and strength. We started out with a sliver of the Land in 1948. Today, we have twice as much.  

Hashem promises us everything from the Euphrates to the Nile. That’s Lebanon, half of Syria, parts of Iraq, the Sinai, and Jordan.  

Hashem will give might to His nation. Hashem will bless His people with peace.  (Psalms 29:11)
