Tobi Rubinstein, author of The House of Faith and Fashion, describes her journey of faith in very real terms:

G-d had another plan for me that disrupted my future in a most drastic way – with the discovery of Stage 4 uterine cancer!

I consulted with Rabbi Arush and begged for a plan to help me understand G-d and His love for me while desperately trying to keep my sanity. How do I maintain gratitude under these circumstances? What is the purpose in this test called "cancer”?

After listening to his advice and the advice of Gedale Fenster, I found the message and the appropriate prayer from The Garden of Gratitude by Rabbi Arush.

Master of the World, I wanted it to be one way, but I see that Your will is different. I accept Your will and thank You for the change in plans.

The House of Faith and Fashion was born from my inner struggles. What my wardrobe taught me about G-d is the outcome of turning a bleak health situation into a unique future mission by fusing two passions together: the creative processes and Judaic teachings.

The House of Faith and Fashion is a collection of essays and conversations that fuse together two subjects that should be opposed to each other, yet both are living harmoniously within these pages. The book explores two ordinarily unrelated paths – faith and fashion merging them to create something uniquely her own within the collection of essays that will charm and intrigue the reader.

The goal of the book is to reveal G-d's presence in fashion, jewelry, art, beauty and style through the lens of Jewish teachings, and therefore to elevate each creative process to divine proportions.

Tobi created an extraordinary chronicle of faith and fashion that elevates the creative process to divine proportions. Her collection of thoughtful, profound, and sometimes poignant essays illustrate to readers how the creation of fashion and art can become a channel through which to express one’s faith and connection with their spirituality.
