Part 2. Looking for a tool that can help you to focus your consciousness precisely when you're in a test? Here is a toolkit that works in real time.
Part 2
The Compass of Consciousness is a three-part series that describes a tool that can help you to focus your consciousness precisely when you in a test. In Part 1, the general concepts of consciousness were described.

The Compass of Consciousness is divided into 4 quadrants:
The First Quadrant
The top White Quadrant lists your Life Pillars granted or limited by Hashem. When you read this list, you will notice that you may have thought occasionally that you were the one causing or controlling your life, your health, your wealth, your success, your relationships, your addictions or your environment. But, if you dig deep and unfold any meaningful situation from your past, you will recognize that every major aspect in this quadrant is caused and controlled by Hashem to lead you into the path of growth.
It is important to realize that when any of these pillars are present or absent in our lives, it is Hashem communicating with us through these grants or lacks and it is up to us to be able to understand what He is telling us in order to steer us in the right direction.
When all our pillars are in balance and in coherence, we reach a temporary state of fullness…yes temporary. We grow up with the expectation that this state of fullness should be permanent. We spend so much effort in the pursuit of permanent happiness, that when anything knocks us off-balance, we immediately feel sorry that our hopes and dreams are not being met, and that we are no longer happy or in control of or lives. But, when you recognize that it is Hashem’s hand guiding your way, you will taste the perfect synchrony of His abundant Master Plan.
The Second Quadrant
The left Blue Quadrant is our Ego, our Lower Self, the contraction of light that restrains our growth. This state happens when we think we control the pillars in the first quadrant. Little by little we let our ego take over our being without us even noticing.
Initially, we adapt securely into what appears to be a comfort zone, where an easy and simple life is preferred over the constant hard work of being reinvented day by day. In this quadrant the physical world is more appealing over any spiritual search. Gradually, our lacks start to be more evident and painful. Every time we let our ego grow, our consciousness contracts, which blurs our spiritual vision and restrains our chances to grow and become who we are meant to be. It is not easy to track this trend because we fall gradually, therefore it is so hard to correct our path and it becomes harder and harder to feel enlightened.
Our pride is nourished, and we become self-centered until our existence becomes unbearable even to ourselves. If this wasn’t enough, our evil inclination “Yetzer Hara” takes advantage of us, digging us deeper and deeper. We search for Hashem, but we don’t find Him, without noticing that the reason we don’t see Him is precisely because He removed His apparent light from our sight to allow us to use our free will to create our way out. Let’s acknowledge that it is not easy to find the way out, because we feel pain and we want it to go away. But the more we fight our pain, the more it spreads and the lower we fall.
To get out of this quadrant and enter the realm of the Third Quadrant, we need to do the hardest thing we’ve done so far… surrender to your Creator and accept your situation. Let’s understand this kind of surrendering as an act of faith and trust, and not as a reflection of weakness or fear. This is the kind of surrendering that we experience when we accept Hashem’s Will, and that sets us in the ideal situation to rebuild our vessel.
Please note that the line dividing the Second and Third Quadrant is the membrane that marks the difference between pain and recovery. One can only go through this membrane by surrendering to everything and everyone causing the pain and letting go the baggage that holds you back in a state of constricted consciousness. Why is it so hard to go through this membrane? Because initially it is thick as a wall. Right when you are about to break through into the Third Quadrant, something suddenly appears disguised as an easy way out and it drags you back into your comfort zone. You fall for the low–hanging fruit, and you are sucked back into the vicious cycle of comfort, pride, and darkness. This cycle happens over and over, increasing the pain until it becomes so unbearable that there is no other option, but to accept and surrender.
