Living in a Turkey World – Part 2

 

Immediately, the wise man began to put his alternate method into practice. He took off all his clothes, put on some home-made paper turkey wings and sat down next to the turkey prince under the kings table. The prince looked at him funny, but continued eating his bones and scraps. The wise man also started pecking at the scraps.

 

“Who are you? And what are you doing here?” asked the turkey prince.

 

The wise man answered his question with a question: “Who are you? And what are you doing here??

 

“I am a turkey,” answered the prince.

 

“Cool, I’m also a turkey too,” replied the wise man.

 

The turkey prince was happy to meet another turkey, and they quickly became great friends. They clucked and pecked together all day long.

 

The next day, after eating a turkey’s dream breakfast of crumbs and dirt, the wise man signaled a servant to throw down two shirts. The wise man put on a shirt. The turkey prince was perplexed.

 

“What are you doing?” the confused turkey prince asked.

 

“I’m putting on a shirt. Did you think that turkeys don’t wear shirts? You can be a turkey and still wear a shirt.”

 

The turkey prince shrugged and put on a shirt too.
