King David said to G-d: “Master of the World! I heard people saying: ‘When will this old man die and allow his son Solomon to build the Holy Temple, and we will come to Jerusalem for the Pilgrimage Festival’ – and I rejoiced!” G-d answered: “I prefer one day that you learn My Torah than 1000 sacrifices that your son Solomon will offer in the future in the Temple.”
