Don’t be too exact with yourself, for this is way of the Evil Inclination to make you sad. Even if a person transgressed he shouldn’t be depressed, for that will cause him to cease serving God, rather he should only be sad about the transgression and return to rejoice in the Creator. We should reflect on the fact that God sees into our heart and knows that our will is to do the right thing, only sometimes we are unable, and strengthen ourselves to rejoice in the Creator always.
