The Ariza'l teaches us that Eretz Yisrael is created in the image of Hashem and the Sefirot. Even the inanimate mineral creations have souls. This is especially so in the Land of Israel, for the Torah makes no effort to hide the secret of the inanimate Divine witnesses.
