The grave of Rebbi Nachman of Breslev is located in the city of Uman in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine. At Rabbi Nachman’s request, he was buried in the old cemetery of Uman. There, thirty thousand martyrs who were massacred in the pogroms of 1768 were buried. Throughout the year, especially on Rosh Hashanah, tens of thousands of Jews from around the world visit this holy site. Men and women, young and old, are drawn to this holy place to pray and fulfill the will of the Tzaddik who commanded his disciples to visit his grave on Rosh Hashanah.
