But with the advent of safe, low-cost air transportation, travel between Eretz Yisrael and Chutz LaAretz became a daily occurrence, with scores of travelers journeying to and fro each year.  Almost overnight, myriad questions sprang up concerning the second day of Yom Tov–questions absent from the classic halachic literature. These inquiries created the need for this book. This translation was produced in response to many requests to make these halachos available in the vernacular.
