Both Temples were not destroyed by external enemies overnight. These Three Weeks of Mourning, from the 17th of Tammuz until the 9th of Av, are time to reflect and fix the root of the sin which has caused all of our suffering - crying for nothing. We must do the opposite - fight for our emuna and thank Hashem for everything!
