I must admit that when I saw the title, I thought to myself “This book sounds like a snoozer…”
How wrong I was!!
The author takes us on a fascinating journey that proves the authenticity of Jewish beliefs. He compares Judaism with other religions such as Islam and Christianity to demonstrate its Divine origin.
The author, a lawyer and experienced speaker for the outreach organization Arachim, presents a case for the divine origin of the Torah, using legal and rational arguments. He structures the book like a legal argument, drawing on evidence from historical transmission, prophecies, and national revelation to make a cumulative case.
This style was particularly helpful to me given my background as a geyoret (convert). As such, I’m also interested in the serious influence that Evangelical missionaries are making among unlearned Jews. I can see this book as giving the Big Picture of Judaism versus Christianity.
Fascinating reading! I highly recommend it!
