On Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rav Arush will do a Pidyon Nefesh IN UMAN on behalf of any family who supports Jerusalem Torah scholars with food baskets for the entire High Holidays. Your contribution can be made as a single donation or divided up to five months.

Jewish law requires us to be concerned about the welfare of the poor, and especially before the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah through Sukkot, when the many holiday expenditures make life even more difficult for an already struggling family. The Gemara promises that when we make the holidays joyous for others, Hashem makes our holidays joyous for us. Someone who makes other people’s holiday happy – G-d makes his holiday happy! May you be blessed with all blessings throughout the new year!
You cannot imagine the magnitude of this mitzvah and the joy your contribution brings to a poor family in Jerusalem. The greater the donation, the greater the blessing you invoke on you and yours.
On Rosh Hashanah, God decides the fate of every human being on the planet for the next year, including how much money they will make and lose that year.

The following video was made for Passover, but we have a similar distribution before Rosh Hashanah as well. That distribution is not quite as gigantic but still very large; it is critical for local poor families who rely on our assistance.
