Shimon, let's pray to Hashem! Before it's too late, let's ask Hashem to help us find the lost money so we can return it to the little boy that was crying."
Nachman stopped the search and said, "Shimon, let’s pray to Hashem! Before it’s too late, let’s ask Hashem to help us find the lost money so we can return it to the little boy that was crying."
Nachman and Shimon stood on opposite sides of the road and began praying with all their heart: "Hashem, dear Father in Heaven, help us find the little boy’s lost money so he won’t be sad. Please, Hashem, You can do anything! Only You know where the money is. Please have pity on us and show us where the money is!"
The two friends felt happy and confident after praying. They started walking up the road with a good feeling that they’d find the lost money. All of a sudden, they found a little pouch filled with small coins.
"We found it! We found it!" they shouted with glee. "Thank You so much, Hashem! Thank You so much!"
Nachman and Shimon chased after the little boy, who had almost disappeared in the distance. "We found your lost money," they called out. "We found the pouch with the coins. You don’t have to cry anymore!"
