This year I was quite ill. I was in the hospital four times. Once for surgery to remove a tumor from my bladder. The second time to stop the bleeding from the side effect of the surgery. The third and fourth times for treating a blood cancer lymphoma. I have been taking chemotherapy medicine for the past seven months. One more treatment in a few weeks. In addition I lost most of my hearing in my right ear. Wow, I wasn’t sure I would gain my strength back. Today I appreciate all my family and friends, especially my husband, Gershon, for helping me get through it all. I feel like HaShem has given me a new life. I feel thankful for all the doctors and nurses for their dedication and engagement. Being sick was a difficult trial to go through. Recuperating and gaining back my strength is an awesome journey of renewal. HaShem gives us the ability to renew ourselves in physically, emotionally and spiritually. Moshe, thank you for helping me reflect on the year with your meaningful teachings and heartfelt Torah.

Thank you Moshe for this timely and timeless teaching!! Your message is inspiring and encouraging to me as I try to focus on today going forward rather than on yesterday’s mistakes and missteps! Thanks!
